Is Darlene breaking Kyle IN, or DOWN?I’d say he’s a broken man. Susan, I think Kyle needs a couple or dozen of that there Cow Girl Beer. Or the ACME beer. Does it blow up in your face, or do you feel like an anvil dropped on your head the day after?

Yup, that’s how you get accidental strikeouts….a pair of hyphens ( -text- ) is the GoComics shortcut for strikeout text , just like asterisks ( *text*) make text bold, or as JP Steve pointed out, _underscores_ give you italics.

Most of us seldom want to use strikeout…but sometimes we do want to use dashes.

I’ve taught myself to use dots instead, like this….cos if a hyphen touches a word, or you happen to use two,sometimes you accidentally get strikeout text even whole paragraphs. see?
