My wife is sixty-eight and he doesn’t look as old as Evie. I always thought of Evie being closer her mid-seventys ! !

Heck, I’m in my mid-70s, and while I’m not as thin as Evie (I don’t wok as hard, either) I look younger than that. However, I do envy her energy level!

New glasses, or contacts and a new hair style and she would look much younger.

My theory is that it’s us young-at-heart oldsters who have the time to read GoComics. Most younger people are at work or school. I usually takes me about two hours to get through my list of comics and I only read about a third of what’s on offer. BTW I’ll soon be 69.

By my reckoning, I’m 79.8 (I used the online calculator). Although I got to gym three times a week and am thin because of long-undiagnosed food sensitivies, I’ve reached the “Are you SURE you don’t want a wheelchair?” stage when at the airport. I also stagger a bit, just as my mom did when she was my age. Her sister had Charcot-Marie-Tooth syndrome, and mom and the rest of her siblings developed essential tremor if they lived long enough. I also appear to have inherited subclinical logorrhea from my mom (imagine that!). ANYhow, it generally takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hours to read the comics in the Tampa Bay Times, plus reading and commenting on twenty comics (ten each) on gocomics and seattlepi. That’s why I’ll never amount to anything.

I’m 6 weeks from being 78. I play tennis three times a week, walk nearly everywhere I go and read my three favorite comics in 5-10 minutes. I’m very thin because I work at it. In fact, I probably look a lot like Evie.

I’m 67 and I feel like an 18 year old. Haven’t had one lately.

You’re only as old as you think you are, until you try to prove it. (I’ve been 18 four times now and it never gets easier.)

As George Carlin once said: older sounds better than old-sounds like it’ll last longer

I’ve always felt close to Evie, and I can identify with her ideas. I had a long distance relationship for over 20 years (while celibate) but really want to find someone close to love now. I am too passionate to be alone.

Age is a matter of mind. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
