Transcript:
American Democracy Explained Obstructionism: When majority democrats do whatever minority republicans want. (Barack Obama: I'm only the president. Yes, both the house and senate are democracy. But there's this really annoying freshman congressman from Kansas so... sorry. Bipartisanship: When minority democrats do whatever majority republicans want. (Barack Obama: To save time, mitcheypoo just send over a bunch of blank bills and I'll sign 'em.) (Man: Such a pleasure working together Barry.)

You’d think Democrats would learn some day.

Do you ever even glance at the news, Ted? Do you have any idea how the “minority” in the Senate was able to block legislation for the last six years? Do you have any idea how anything actually works outside of your childish view of the world?

Setting that aside, Ted hit the nail on the head. The Dems are too fractured to function as a majority party, not to mention generally too spineless to stand up for their party when challenged. That was demonstrated very clearly this last election. The Republicans seem to have little desire for compromise. As a side note: Ted you could have used Aaron Schock in place of McConnell. He would have made for a much less disturbing picture and if the rumors are true, he just might be up for it.

Does anyone remember the founding of the USA? It was a one-party system up until Washington left office.

last time I looked, people vote, not money

rok_on: yes, you’re right. People vote. People who enthusiastically swallow (and pass on) vile lies from the superrich.

Far as I could tell, the Senate avoided voting on any bill because none of them actually wanted to be on the record for what they believed in (Either party. Seemed to be a mutual ambiguity plan)

The real problem today? I’m disappointed by the poor performance of too many Democrats, and totally disgusted by the poor performance of too many Republicans.
It’s more important for the COUNTRY to win, not ANY political party, but Dems giving into Republican pressures (and lies) have put us squarly behind the 8 ball of fear and stagnation as a nation.

Here’s a little bit of encouragement: We already knew before the elections that Ted didn’t have a freaking clue about how the actually system works. It’s looking at the other cartoons this week that is distressing — voters were paying attention to these saps?
