You would unfortunately have to be blind not to tell the difference … Or not know what a real tree looks like.

That last line says a lot. " it just appeared there one night" What a beautiful testament to our faith.

My family lived on Andros Island Bahamas for a year. There were no real Christmas trees and my mom made one,. She took a trashcan and had it filled with sand. She then had a pole placed in it and wired pieces of the local scrub pines to create a tree. It looked great as kids we had no idea

Athiests will believe anything huh? If that were true I would still be religious. It was only after I started questioning what I was taught about religion, did a lot of research, and STARTED THINKING FOR MYSELF, that I came to the conclusion that religion is nothing but a lot of superstitious nonsense.

But that’s just me; go ahead and serve an imaginary sky fairy if you want. Knock your socks off.

I’m not familiar with any religion that sanctions breaking their own laws in order to “fulfill ____’s demands.” Please don’t confuse bad congregants with bad religion.

As a matter of fact, I’m much more familiar with “the ends justify the means” as being a philosophy that the secular left commonly employs.

What an awesome comic! One of the most beautiful Christmas messages ever. It shows that everything doesn’t have to cost a fortune; that putting your love into everything about the Season is what counts. I loved it!

Atheist here. While I don’t discount the possibility that some force or power beyond our understanding set the creation process in motion, I don’t believe in the God of organized religion, giving out reward and punishment and listening to our trivial prayers or giving us an afterlife.

That said, I thought this was an utterly charming strip. Subtle, understated and sweet. Same as I am charmed by such movies as “It’s a Wonderful Life” and never let a Christmas season go by without a viewing of “A Christmas Carol.”

They have a large, extended family. Someone unknown, moved by the spirit of the season, could have added the star, that he just happened to have available. So, was God responsible? I would give Him at least some credit.

And, of course, there’s faith in Buddha, Muhammad, Baal, Thor, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians..Surely faith in at least one of the above requires gullibility.
