Soooo not Minnesota in the warm monts. There is at least one road if not more being worked on in the warm months. Some times we even get hit with road construction even in the winter.
My experience has shown me that people are afraid of overpasses and slow down before going under them. I’ve changed my route because of one where people all but stop before going back up to 65mph after it with no reason for the slow down at all….ever.
I never understood the wording on those signs. I am ALWAYS prepared to stop. I got a right foot – it’s right there next to the brake pedal – how much more prepared do they want me to be?
What’s really annoying is when you creep along for miles, and then traffic opens up – and there’s nothing to see. WHY was everybody creeping along? Yeesh.
Favorite sign seen on 495 – the DC beltway – at the American Legion Bridge - “Bridgework ahead. Prepare for Instant Aggravation.”The sign lasted one day before disappearing.

We have a lot of construction zones where this is non-work.

It would save a TON of money to just put this sign up on the ONE road in the country that ISN’T under construction. Good thinking!

I think that’s open to criticism. But the obviously wouldn’t be helpful.

If you ever get lost on the highway, just remember that moss grows on the north side of a construction worker’s shovel.

Bruno Zeigerts: That’s one reason I enjoyed the movie Falling Down so much.
