Plus in real life mice don’t go for cheese. They tend to go for sweet stuff like peanut butter, or chocolate.The liking for cheese is a hollywood myth.

But it is easier to rhyme “cheese” than “peanut butter” or “chocolate”, even if thy had the latter two items.
