Contracting and mandated spending in House bills have made it so that even an “increase” in budget does NOT represent an increase in services. This is true in many agencies, since well, Reagan.
The panic over Ebola is absolutely the stupidest thing to come along in a long time. It isn’t that Ebola isn’t a truly nasty disease, it’s just that it can’t touch fear and stupidity for affecting a population fed by “the media”. (and anyone thinking the MSM is “liberal” is among the stupidest of us.)
I agree the Republicans have been pushing for across the board cuts. I also agree that the military budget is bloated. None of that changes the fact that Obama also slashed the budget and that you used the same tactic you were trying to call the Right commentators out on. So you know: someone pointing out possible flaws in your comments isn’t ‘obfuscating’. It’s called debate.
