First time being first and I’m not getting the joke here.

I’m a bit mystified too….

I was thinking maybe Arlo’s “Haven’t they done this in Peanuts” is attempted meta-humor…. “Didn’t they do a set-up like this in the ‘Peanuts’ strip….”

But Janis thinks he’s asking whether those candy bars also come with peanuts…and says that she did buy those as well.

Or… it’s something entirely different.Anybody?

This is like Arlo saying ‘Mounds? Oh joy. ’And Janis responds ’Got them too.’

Joyous mounds.

They’re both talking about candy surplus. One’s worried. One’s gratified.

Are those the BIG bars? I’m going to their house this year.

Are those supposed to be candy bars? They look like Tupperware cases or something.

Jimmy, haven’t you done this joke before?

Halloween is just an excuse for girls to indulge their chocolate addiction.

Do they give out pet treats??…..

Just be mindful of the trick-or-treaters with peanut allergies.

And there are those who put out a large bowl of candy with a sign that says “Please take one.”

“Scrooge”? Isn’t Janis getting a little ahead of herself?
