Fox stage-named himself after actor Michael J. Pollard. He (being Canadian) also didn’t want to be confused for American actor also named Michael Fox.

It’s amazing how entire species seem to appear and disappear in the fossil record, but the intermediary minor changes that link them have never been found in over a century of intensive search. Also amazing is the number of “Early Human” species that are still taught despite proof that they are not human. Look up Java Man for example, or Lucy.
