Going after a limited number of lunatics, with accuracy and “restraint” isn’t nearly as much fun as killing tens of thousands of bystanders to get two guys, our reasons for invading Afghanistan and Iraq in the first place. (and like in the movie “Red Dawn”, giving the local populace the urge to form “terrorist groups”, like the “wolverines”. )
Morty; I was in agreement with Kerry and the ohers who “gave back” their medals in protest. I also attended a number of rallies, and pointed out that even though against the war, getting out wasn’t going to be that easy, and Nixon’s crowd would make it worse, they did.
