I’ve had that song from “High Noon” stuck in my head for the past two days (& I don’t even like Westerns!).

I guess I’m lucky, my ear worm is from Beethoven’s ninth.

I’ve heard recently that Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky” will clear those ear worms right up

What usually works for me is to consciously replay the song in my head. Pretty soon the brain decides it is boring and wanders to somewhere else.

But the atheists in the crowd will surely call foul if they’re forced to listen to “Spirit in the Sky”. And I’m calling foul because my school filter won’t let me play the clip

The most frustrating thing to me is when you can only remember like 2 measures of the song, and it STILL plays on autorepeat. In any event, Elvis Costello’s “Veronica” works for me almost every time.
