Reminds me of this old George Carlin routine about people who are about to die get a 2-minute warning (like in football). One suggestion was to give a 2-minute speech on whatever you like, and near the end you say, “If I haven’t told the truth about anything I’ve said, may God strike me dead!” Afterwards, you command much more attention.
albrecht von haller (1777) and joseph henry green (1863) were two such doctors who died with the word ‘stopped’ on their lips. if you can take your own pulse, it might be a pretty cool way to go.
“There’s been a few doctors”? It’s “There have been a few doctors.” Is it really, really, really hard for North to write dialog above the third-grade level? I expect him to start as sentence with “me” in the near future.
