Maybe the poor boy’s being bullied. Never expected to see an anti-bullying story arc.

An ounce of prevention equals to a pounding that requires curing.

He’s even wearing a black belt. This can get him in worse trouble than before.

As a skinny, buck-toothed, four-eyed “Freak” I was bullied CONSTANTLY – until I entered a Dojo!

Once I started learning what to do – for real, I NEVER needed to do it.

It was like suddenly there was a giant “You REALLY DON’T want to mess with him!” sign over my head.

“Gee” Patrick, great idea til you have to use it :) My 9 yr old grandson Earned his jr black belt.

I study karate, too. When I was an orange belt, I was walking to class when I encountered my cousin’s ex-husband. He’s a bit of a jerk, but I was civil with him. When he inquired about my karate training, he asked, “So you’d know what to do if I did this…?” and raised his hand as if to slap me.I merely gave him my best closed-mouth smile and said, “Hmm-hmmm.”I haven’t seen him since.…Presently, I am 3rd Kyu Brown belt (brown with white stripe).

@DragoncatDid your eyes glisten with anticipation of proving it to the jerk?

Exactly as Chris Maple said, I was thinking that my alarm system warns off attacks whether or not I subscribe to the monitoring (and it’s heart-stoppingly LOUD).

I wonder what Mr. Miyagi would say about this…?
