I remember when Ronald was a mute character, and the commercials were done cheaply. There was no McDonaldLand, just the parking lot of one of the old candy-striped restaurants. Back then there were no tables and chairs inside. You got your food and went back to your car with it.
Does Ronald even still work at McD’s any more? I know they abandoned the rest of the characters ages ago, but I haven’t seen Ronald hawking those rolls of masking tape McD’s calls hamburgers in a long time…
