It would be interesting if Cybil joined in the gnomes’ mischief. Like say –oh, I don’t know– water balloons!

Had our old tiger appear at the door one day with a still alive bird in his mouth, flailing like crazy. That would have REALLY been a good cartoon with a gnome. Send ‘em back to Alaska where they belong!!

I have to admit I’m disappointed by this sudden ending: I expected Lio to pull some “revenge” pranks on the gnomes, and they would drag in his dad and Ishy and Eva and Cybil AND the new fish. (Since the gnomes seem to like water I could picture them scuba-diving in the aquarium, although that would be RISKY………) Any road, since the gnomes are magical creatures I’m hoping they’re merely playing possum and they’ll return someday. (Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the “Lio”……….)

This is the first time I read this cartoon and what it’s about. This particular strip reminds me of a cat I used to have, she’d hide things under the rug inside the front door.

Mr. Tatulli, I must say THANK YOU, I look forward everyday to reading about LIO and his cast of characters. They never fail to put a smile on my face and I even have my husband hooked on LIO and we are no spring chickens we are both over 50 years old. May you have many, many more years of success.

I had a cat who’d perch on my chest at 3AM with his new toy; “This thing’s fun. you want to play with it for a while?” I’d chase whatever down & put it out. He was right, it was fun. Mostly rodents & a few birds, gnomes must have been too tricky.

“TwistedHumor,” you need to go back to the last two Lio cartoons to understand what is going on. Also, the comments to these two strips had some prognosticators (prognomesticators) hinting at where this gnomic torment of poor Lio should end up.
