Okay, remember we’re only getting a slice of life here, and not all the details. It is a comic after all.

Here’s where the “soap opera” comes into FBorFW. There had to be some romantic conflict in the story, so when Connie moved away, I enjoyed exploring some of the “what-ifs.” Would people like John and Ted meet and talk like this in real life? Maybe not. Still, it was a way to answer some of the questions a sympathetic fly on the wall might ask: What if Ted felt badly? What if he realized his mistake? Exploring questions like these gave me the incentive to produce and to stay on deadline.

Well, When you think you’re in a “relationship” and the guy says that he’s started seeing someone else (and you made it perfectly clear from the start that you would not date anyone who was seeing anyone else), THAT is a PROBLEM! That’s what happened to me after 10 months of happiness,

So I understand!

A good motto to live by…“I won’t waste my time with anyone who doesn’t want me.”

To answer Ted: Yes, Connie can take a little kidding.She just can’t take a moron.

I would imagine that what was said in the previous strip was not the only thing said. More likely, it was the only thing shared with us.

He wants what he can’t have. If she came back, he’d dump her again GROW UP, MORON!!!!!

“I was only kidding”, “People need to get a thick skin” = The Nuremberg defense of the bullies.

Simply, Ted is a jerk and doesn’t deserve Connie.

Why is it – we have to be so careful what we say about women, but they seem to think they can say anything they want about us?

Just a jerk! For once, Connie made the right decision!
