Want to go see a movie? Sure! Is the new Nicholas Sparks film out yet? Uh... I dunno. There's the new scary movie. What's it about? Er... It's about an hour and a half I guess. I meant the plot? Oh! They say the guy you think is gonna live, isn't it. Cool, huh? Yes. I didn't know you liked art films.

That’s what made Psycho the greatest movie of it’s genre of all time. You are identifying with the hero- everyone knows she will be fine. It’s the people who take a candle and go to bed, or wander off into the woods who get killed. The main character isn’t supposed to get stabbed in a shower 15 minutes into the show. You feel like it’s happening to “your” character.
