You really can’t fault BK for minimising their tax liability unless you pay the I.R.S. more than you owe.

The 5 Guys in my area is marginal at best. There is a small chain, Mr Petes, that rivals In-n-Out and an independent, Fronks, that has great burgers and the world’s best beer batter onion rings.

Right. And not Exxon, GE, or Apple, or a whole slew of other patriotic multinational corporations.

I mean, it’s not as though they have an entire set of departments dedicated to moving accounts around in order to evade paying taxes, or anything like that.

And they don’t have more departments dedicated to writing legislation proposals that will enable them to evade taxes by accounting manipulations.

And they don’t have yet other departments dedicated to ‘lobbying’ legislators and giving them bribes campaign contributions so those proposals become law.

Nope. And it’s not like the taxes they evade have to be made up somewhere else.
