My cats must be early risers, they are running solo paw races at 3:00 am and when I get up they are to tired to find the food that I put down for them.
I’ve got two cats — they like to have a nice chase through the house around 4am — then one will pull a semi-fresh one from the litterbox and they’ll have a quick game of poop hockey. Nice surprise when you’re barefoot. (I know, TMI).
Two cats and four dogs. The cats want to be fed at 4:30 AM. I get up to feed the cats, and the dogs want to go out. By the time I get the dogs back in, the cats have disappeared, not to reappear for 12 hours (next feeding.)

Yesterday my Great Pyrenees chased off three dogs that were harassing my horse. Let’s see a cat do that!

Cats do more than dogs before 9am, then don’t do much of anything else until 9pm.

John Glynn: Huge. They look like they lost their cart. But great livestock guards.
