All it did was stir up some sediment…in the bottles aging in the cellars.

And the bottles as well. Glass is not cheap, & they don’t own silicates & such to make their own.

Watching that wine go down the drain, the broken casks and fermentation tanks, OH THE HORROR! It really did bring a bit of a tear to my eye, and it dripped into my Merlot.

    ^OKay, this is embarrassing.

For 12 years my Dr. had me on a pain medicine that said “ABSOLUTELY NO ALCHOL”. Most every year we did wine tours around the country with our friends from Arkansas, and I was always the “designated driver”. After that 12 years, I brought my doc a really good bottle of wine for taking care of our dogs while we were on our trip. I asked him, “Hey, would it be okay if I just had a glass of wine with dinner on this drug?” He looked at me “funny” and said, “How long have you been on that stuff?” “12 years”, I said. He said, “Did you notice it only said absolutely no alcohol for the first TWO MONTHS while on the drug?”

    “WHAT???”

He then pointed out a glass or two would be okay, just don’t “binge” while on the drug. I went home, had a glass of Merlot with dinner, and told my wife our friend’s guide dog could drive on future winery tours.
