he has no idea what a tomato tastes like, or any fresh fruit or vegetable….I’m sure he thinks all those waxy round orangey pinkish things at the grocery store ARE ripe tomatoes…I mean, why would they sell them if they weren’t ripe?
McDonald’s uses them like that, too… would they do that if they weren’t ripe?
So there’s no need of any tricks for ripening whatever’s on sale at Crust Foods….be it tomatoes, peaches, or bananas.Or avocados… he tried those once.He hated them…after all, they’re hard as rocks, and tasteless.
This must be after the party. “Hay there are 4 cupcakes left how about staying for coffee and cupcakes before they get any staler.”Burl is having one so he can maybe have another one in case the guest turns it down. After all he did have a piece of cake,and had a hard time swallowing it..
I still think this guy is really a PhD candidate in Abnormal Psychology and is only using her to get access to the subject of his dissertation. ..But he should remember, “When you gaze long into an abyss…”

I’ve tried that when I have a few green ones left on the plants after the first frost. But, never seems to work for me
