Alix: What do you mean by a "more serious" relationship with Phil?
Holly: Yeah...we're not UP for baby sisters or brothers.
Val: WHAT?!
Holly: Hey, you're not too OLD, right?
Alix: Got eggs?
Val: We are NOT HAVING this conversation!!

To me I had my 2nd when I was 29 way to old for children. I unfortunately married late in life at 25. My husband was 39 when we had our 2nd. I think she will only remember him as been old and grandfatherly type. Her dad is still very much living but retired. My husband mother had two 14 years age difference she died at age 88 and not in good physical health either. My parents had me in their early 30’s and my dad died at age 79. I’m sorry but I would not want a child as old as some of you are saying. I have a couse who I think had a baby at 40 and I didn’t envy her at all.
I can’t blame Val for being shocked the last thing she even thought about was having another baby. Don’t know what Phil thinks though?

I married late and had my son at 34. We had a wonderful time and did lots of camping, hiking and cycling. You are only as old as you act. I am currently raising “bonus” grandkids who are 4 and 9. It is all in how energetic you are. Val could have another IF they wanted to..

29 is “way too old for children”? Gee whiz. My sister had her 1st child at 31 and her last at 45 (he was a “surprise”, not an “accident”). My brother’s wife was 41 when they had their son.
My parents were 31 and 33 when I was born, which meant my Mom was near 50 when I got out of High School and emptied the nest (my Dad died young). That seems about right to me…

I was 20 when my first was born, and my 3rd and last at 39. All are well, my youngest is my side kick. Maybe it depends on your attitude, on how you regard life.

My mother (1953-2004) was 30 when she had her youngest child, me. Of course her own birthday was a few days away (so she was almost 31).
My father is 19 years younger than his two eldest brothers who are twins.
My mother is 13 years younger than her eldest sister.
My mother’s second oldest brother has five children; the first four and the other are half-siblings with a 24-year age difference (the little guy and my uncle are 50 years apart).
My mother’s second oldest sister has ten children; 22-year age difference between the oldest and the youngest.

My mom was 41 when I was born. She turned 42 just two months later. My dad was 9 years older than my mom.
I was 31 when my mom died, and 34 when my dad died.
