If any being has achieved the scientific ability and technology for interstellar travel and has not weaponized said technology to use against various factions of its own kind, the threat of them being hostile to the inhabitants of another planet would be minimal. Unfortunately they would have a great deal to fear from us, however, should they choose to visit.

gummie bears? nah.. freeze, heat or eat them. They would just be the vanguard. The invasion. The REAL invasion would come later…. after we have sated ourselves on the sweetness of the gummie. … Comes the fierce, terrifying Teddy Bears!!! so soft. so cuddly. so warm. we will want to take many of them home. … And then…. at night, while we sleep, curled around our warm, soft, cuddly teddy bear, they wake and………………………………….. !!!!!!!
