denis’ comment above highlights an interesting fact. For someone as high energy and high profile as Robin Williams, in show business for as long as he was, I have heard very little negative about him. Maybe it’s because he said it all himself first, but the worst thing I can remember someone saying was early in his career when other comics were angry at another stand-up taking material to TV, which severely limited its lifespan. I never heard he was difficult to work with as an actor (provided someone could contain him), or unpleasant as a person. I think it speaks to an underlying kindness that I always thought I saw in him.

Would your family like it if someone finds something equally kind to say about you after your death, equally publicly?

He was at depth a very kind man with clinical depression. Unkind men, and women, are just depressing; with teeny tiny minds.

Nice tribute. But you forgot “What Dreams May Come”.
