I recently learned that the Queen of England is also called the Queen of Canada and of Australia (plus a bunch of little bits). But it’s still a step down from Empress of India.
I understand she’s also QE I in Scotland, because Goode Queene Bess never reigned there. I recall that when QE II ascended the English throne and they began replacing the GR VI mailboxes in Scotland with ER II, some were blown up in protest.
