Wow, a dramatic one-panel strip. Tracy’s coat being stuffed in an evidence bag cannot look good to the two women.

No comments on today’s strip. The writers musthave had the day off.

It seems that whomever kidnapped Dick Tracy, failed to disable the vehicle’s tracking device.

The background, indeed. I agree. The foreground and the ladies, however, entirely too CGI, and bad CGI at that. Moon-maid could do better.

Exceptional use of the single panel! The last time I recall use of the one-panel option, we witnessed the Nitrates’ Wonder car airborne, headed for icy water. Wonder where they went…

A late comment on yesterday’s strip. Wouldn’t it have been logical for Tracy to call Ed at the boatyard before he left his house, to let him know he was coming at that late hour?

I’m pretty sure that Tracy has more than one overcoat. He wears it just about everywhere all the time, so I think he’d want at least one spare. Maybe he even keeps a spare in the boat.

“Without a body they won’t think that…(Tracy’s dead)”-———There is nothing conclusive, but this raises the possibility that Tracy is dead.So the police will be focusing on a search for his body, instead of what he saw on Thunder Island.Only readers of the strip know Tracy didn’t drown.

Maybe Dick is setting this up so it makes people think that he is dead.

“Wouldn’t they simply have put the body in the vehicle when they dumped it in the river?”--If they killed him, but they took him prisoner, why, we don’t know.But by driving the car in the water, as I said, it covers Tracy’s absence and delays the cops’ investigation of Thunder Island.
