My mom said crossing the street would kill me, lead paint would kill me and our aluminum wiring will burn our house down. Made me wonder how there were any adults at all if everything was going to kill them.
The more you complain, the longer God makes you live. That’s why old folks are so grumpy. At least, that’s my excuse. :-)
