It’s a weird day when I agree with Joadtom. The hatred is passed down through the generations. But – for all the effect they’ve had, the rockets almost could be paper airplanes. According to the Telegraph, the Gaza toll is now 985 dead, with 40 dead in Israel. Rall should have shown a rock, because rocks are actually dangerous.

Israeli apologists rightly condemn terrorism. However, the Israeli military legitimizes terrorism by negotiating (through warfare). Terrorism becomes two way and normal. Thus Israel props up their violent opponents and the violent opponents prop up the Israeli military.
In each conflict there is usually 3 sides. Two loud sides with weapons and one silent majority who bears the brunt of the use of those weapons. The majority is neither Israeli nor Palestinian, just human beings.
The loud sides with weapons eventually lose, for the majority is nothing if not patient. I do with the majority were a little more self-conscious and willing to cast off their parasitic war-mongering troublemakers.
If only Hallibuton and General Dynamics could make some sales to the Palestinians their stock would go way up. Then they would have customers on both sides.
Comparing the kidnapping and execution of three children to a paper plane being thrown at a soldier illustrates that you really don’t understand the situation. The proximate cause was the murder of three children. The distal cause was the Grand Mufti telling the citizens to flee their homes combined with the invasion of Israel on the day the mandate ended.
