Snort, giggle! I had forgotton about the werewolf thing…Alice may really be worried about her toys now. It’s a good thing Alix doesn’t make noises like that in her sleep;-)

Worst snort ever: Taco Bell hot sauce. Will mess up your sinuses for a week.

Was Ernesto right, or is Petey just messing with Alice?

Well, Ernesto has a food allergy that manifests as a mild lycanthropy himself, so maybe he would know…

In an old Mr. Monster story, there was a reluctant werewolf who came to Dr. Stearn looking for a cure. There was no way of reversing his lycanthropic transformations, though, but our hero solved the dilemma (as a werewolf, Mr. Monster would have been obligated to destroy him, otherwise) by hypnotically inducing narcolepsy, to be triggered by any sight of the full moon.

Just had a flash of inspiration - “An American Werewolf in Slumberland.” Nemo finally makes it to King Morpheus’ castle, but the moon is full that night. He’s hairy all over, and he proceeds to eviscerate Flip, Dr. Pill, and the Candy Kid with his claws and slavering fangs. Nemo’s mother, in the last panel: “Nemo, you were making such a fitful disturbance last night! And why are you covered in blood?”

I may have to draw that up…

I’m always in constant awe of Richard Thompson’s art and writing. Especially his beautiful watercoloring which is a rarity these days. Today’s strip is exceptional in it’s execution and timing. I hope he receives this year’s Reuben award!

I hope he makes millions and millions of dollars (in syndication fees and book royalties; I have no need to see a full-length computer-generated “Cul de Sac” feature film in Tru-3D with songs by Phil Collins, collectable cups available at participating Burger King restaurants).

I hope “Richard Thompson” becomes a household word, like “laundry” or “oatmeal.”

Thanks very much, I’m glad youall liked this one. Especially as I’d worried that there wasn’t much to it (I know nothing). The color is done by color genius Brian Whitmer, who can make process color look like watercolor.
