It’s not just Israel vs Palestinians. As Americans keep blaming Congress, they keep re-electing THEIR crook because he gets them what they want, they think. Likewise, folks keep supporting THEIR killers, because a blind eye is the basis of their vision of the world as well.
The trouble with these ideological and religious wars is the ordinary innocent working people are the ones who mostly die and have their homes and economy destroyed. The zealots keep the whole thing going.
My neighbor from England has come across raidingSlain six of my kinsmen and burned down my hallIt cannot be borne this offense and injusticeI’ve only killed four of his, last I recall
War perpetuates itself if it doesn’t burn out quickly. When war goes on for years and decades, even the “just leave me out of this” civilians will start to hate the other side, whether the other side is a true enemy or one that the leaders have branded an enemy in an effort to unite its people.
The common enemy stays that way, even after fighting eventually stops. Distrust and hatred have been the order of the day for so long that they are passed from one generation to the next. It won’t be long before someone gets offended enough to draw first blood, and it repeats.
Why is it that humans believe that disagreements are best settled with firepower?
thank you wuerker for parroting the u.s. ruling class line. ignoring completely the u.s./israeli war machine’s determination to make life hell for arabs and anybody else who stands in their way.
Only diff is that Israel has stopped REPEATEDLY, only to be rocketed in the arse by that ragged guy following along behind with no other purpose in his life.
