After all, P. had many chances to kill Chatu like the time he gave him the antidote for the bat fever when they both needed it and there was only one dose.

The females do most of the hunting, usually hunting together in groups—occasionally a male will join the female hunters esp. if the prey is a very large animal. One reason given for the females being the hunters is that the male’s primary responsibility is to be the protector of the pride.
