This is a made-up story with fictitious characters and I still got a lump in my throat.

Is this a repeat?? Didn’t he ask her before?? I’m so confused! This feels like deja vu.

I’ve always rather identified with Evie as I imagine her around my age. I have no lack of romance in my life, but see no need for marriage as we are seniors (well past child-bearing years). I married at 21, had 4 children and divorced after 16.

My “Arnold” lived near my former home in Illinois and still does. That was my “true love” for decades, but we finally agreed that long distance was not working. I joined a website last November and met some guys (a few in person) and now have found someone very special to me – We first met in person on Dec. 5th. Even this is a bit more distance than I like (20miles) so I’m selling this house (with a good profit) and buying near him. We spend every weekend together now and Tuesday night dances.

Arnold is a little younger than Evie and I’m 6 years older than mine (and he can easily lift me, too). I never expected to find someone who is everything on my list and more . . .

    Very happy!

Better think this one through Evie and talk about things. Will she live on the road with him and just visit her family? Why has Arnold ever come to visit Evie at home with her family???? BE CAREFUL!

Wait til reality sets in. So easy to be caught up in the excitement….Will Arnold be willing to go home with Evie to visit with her family? And when she gets to the point where she is not able to travel and Arnold still can? Hmmmm…

Yeah, Arnold, the man who travels around the world building houses and helping the less fortunate, is some kind of crazy crook. And Evie is a naive young thing who is going to be taken in by some pretty words and romance. They are both mature and intelligent enough to figure things out. They’ve obviously kept their relationship going despite Evie’s spending time at home. I would think they could largely continue as they have been, even if they are married. She travels with him and then goes home for extended visits. Maybe he comes with her some of the time. It’s not hard to imagine.

So where are they going to live? So far they just been together on vacation and building projects. Evie is not going stay away from her family all the time.
