Comes back to a quote from Foxworthy; Country founded by geniuses, run by idiots.

When the Liberals donate 100% of their donations and personal wealth to housing & feeding these millions they invite, then I’ll accept their claim of doing the right thing. The Liberals want equality of misery, all of us equally broke and living hand to mouth.

Yet again: If anyone truly wanted fewer illegals, they would prevent them from being hired by businesses. -It is stunning how the ones screaming against illegals never, ever mention this.-Including the Republicans/Fox “news” viewers on these boards.

If people want immigrants to get here legally, they have to make it POSSIBLE to get here legally. People come illegally because there is no other practical option, not because they want to break the law. Immigration reform would help balance the budget, would get us new workers, strengthen social security, strengthen the health system, prevent workers from being abused, and invigorate America. That’s why businesses, churches, and economists are all for it. The GOP is giving into racism and ignorance on this one, but hey, they need the votes.

The motto/challenge is actually at the foot of the monument. Hmmm, just like immigration reform bills are ground under the feet of Republican “leaders”.

Or how about, “Obey the Law!” Since we’re a nation of LEGAL immigrants.

I’ve often wondered the same thing. If the Native Americans had known how Old World diseases would diminish their own population, they might have. Too bad the European immigrants weren’t held to the same stringent medical testing that later immigrants were at Ellis Island. The Pilgrims and Puritans, for instance, would probably have been sent back.
