The dog’s probably checking the room for unsecured guns first. He doesn’t want his dog years cut short.

America has more gun deaths per capita than any other developed country, so the cartoon is pretty perceptive. We just ban the CDC from collecting data on it. Fortunately, there’s the Google.

It’s lost on the cartoonist to point out that gun-related homicides, and violent crime in general, is at its lowest point in the last 40 years…

There’s a time and a place for everything. AK47s belong in wars. Since we are not currently having a war in America, they are used by insecure men who are trying to convince themselves that they are macho. Apparently they are incapable of understanding that most people see that gun as evidence that they are subnormal and need the gun in place of the blanket they used until they were 10 years old in order to have the courage to come out of their mom’s basement and stop sucking their thumbs.

7.62 or .223 full metal jacket rounds (military, Geneva Convention approved) are lousy hunting rounds. AK-47 and M-16/M-4 variants, are also pretty lousy hunting rifles, except for hunting people in large numbers. Most fatalities in the U.S. are due to HAND GUNS, which are generally, but not totally, banned for hunting anything, but people. The NRA keeps spouting about hunting rights, but keeps focusing on hand gun possession, not rifles, so what are they intent on hunting???
