    How picky can you be, if you accept someone else’s rules of pickiness?

    I believe elsewhere in the strip we learn, via Petey, of course, that succotash was the Native American’s attempt to disguise Lima beans as food.

    Agree. Lima beans are the only vegetable I will not eat. So, did somebody sabotage Petey’s ranking?

    Who would want to smear the reputation of the world’s 23rd pickiest eater? Who was the 24th pickiest? Succotash! Is that not like what the canned veggie companies call “mixed vegetables” (a lame attempt to sell off all their least-wanted leftover bits)?

    one must aquire a taste for succotash, it was a main stay when I was a child, and still enjoy it at Thanksgiving.

    Can succotash really be made to suffer?

    I like most things, but succotash is about 94th on my list of desirable vegetable dishes. Mom used to put okra and tomatoes in it, which made it quite tolerable (to me, at least).

    Okra is great if you know how to fix it.

    @Stella S

    I was thinking the same thing. It would be just like Ernesto to sabotage Petey. He’s always one-upping him.
