So the head of the department overseeing thousands of employees “happens” to have her computer crash so she can’t show how innocent those emails were.AND amazingly all the computers of those receiving the emails also “happen” to crash. They just think most Americans are stupid so they see no need to come up with a plausible excuse.Disgusting.

As a former System Admin for the government, I say BS on the IRS backup story and the BS about their computers crashing because they’re old. The feds buy new computers every other year or so, you very seldom see a three year old computer especially someone at her level. Admins are required to have backups that can retrieve any file from the past three months and virtually any file from the past year. They also have to do an End-of Year backup every year. And, her personal computer crashing still has no effect on the email servers. They’re lying through their teeth.

The most transparent administration in history has another glitch in providing truth. Nixon so wished he was in office now.

So Ms. Lerner just shot the gerbil in the “hard drive” of her computer and caused a “crash” that destroyed her emails? I’m sure the Republicans will make hay out of that story!

Anyone ever hear of computer viruses that destroy files in the infected computer and sends itself to other computers on the contact list?

U.S. Archivist David Ferriero of the National Archives and Records Administration says that the IRS did not follow the law after losing Lois Lerner’s email records:-http://freebeacon.com/issues/u-s-archivist-irs-did-not-follow-the-law-after-they-lost-lerner-emails/

Stonewall, withhold information, “forget” who you talked to, disappear emails…then claim no evidence of wrongdoing has been found after all this time. Pathetic.

Try that at an IRS audit. Tell them you’ve already given them thousands of documents (just not the ones they asked for). Tell them it’s been months and they still haven’t proved you are wrong. Tell them your computer crashed so it’s their problem. Then write to us from jail to let us know how it worked.

Benson is still trying to make a scandal out of what would be excused as “bureaucratic issues” during a Republican administration.Meanwhile, I never did get anyone to explain exactly how the Tea Party groups were harmed by the IRS. They were allowed to collect donations while their 501c4 applications were under review. They were considered tax-exempt. Their donors were allowed to remain anonymous. Nixon would’ve laughed himself silly if you suggested this was an effective way to harass the opposition.I’ve never had anyone explain why allowing political groups to organize as non-profits is a good idea. I can’t imagine why anyone thinks allowing political donors to be anonymous, is a good idea.

So the Republicans were thwarted in their attempts to embarrass the White House. Cry me a river! Maybe now Congress can get on with determining whether political groups were illegally using 501c4’s and whether the IRS can get on with enforcing the laws. You know – something important.
