if you had access to a vacuum chamber, you could have it up and running in a minute or so. in a vacuum, water boils far below room temperature, so you can dry out the phone quickly.
my wife got caught in one of those storms a while back. she thought the phone was safe because it was in her rain jacket pocket. they don’t leak, unless you forget to zip up the pocket. and they hold water quite well.

Well by this point it’s already over a year old which would make it totally obsolete so now she just has a good excuse to buy a new one…..p.s. my cell phone will be 7 years old in Aug. and the battery charge lasts for a week unless it’s heavy duty talking, so I’m not a fan of the “smart” ones.

I always carry a sandwich baggie with me when I walk if I think there’s even the possibility of rain.
