That should tell you something, Connie! Some guys (or gals) just aren’t ready for marriage…now. ;)

If marriage is a priority for her and it’s not for him, then she should move on. Or it could just be bad timing or the wrong person for one or both. It’s usually men (famously George Clooney), but it happens for women too, where the person says that they don’t want to get married, yet they eventually meet someone else and do get married. Move on, Connie, if marriage is important to you, and things will fall into place.

A friend of my mother (they are both in their 70s) never married. She lived with her mom until her mother passed. She still lives in the house (which btw she was BORN in). When I was a kid she was dating a gentleman who took her all over the world. She has many expensive items of jewelry from him, but not even a promise ring. They must have dated for at least 20 years. I personally think mom’s friend is a lesbian who has never admitted to herself. They are from a VERY religious small town. The few times I remember meeting her I found her pleasant. Of course anyone can be nice for a few hours every other decade! lol

We’ve also seen Connie desperate for a permanent relationship with a man.

Another great example of how you pick and choose which strips you want to fit with your own private idea of Lynn’s thoughts and life.

Asexuality / low sexual desire are not uncommon. There are also people who choose to confine their sexuality to marriage, so they act as if they were asexual if they don’t marry. Ultimately, her sexuality and whatever she chooses to do with it are strictly her own business.

According to the FBOFW bio, when Ted was in high-school, he had a group of friends who made a game out of who could get to first base, second base etc. first with a girl. His perception of male-female relationships didn’t mature beyond that for a good long time. Connie moved out of town, met and eventually married Greg. Ted rebounded by marrying his secretary Irene. He cheated, she left him.
