Mostly cos the price of potassium has risen…. about $80 /lb…. still cheap, but our bodies contain lots of it.$100 worth, or so, out of an estimated total body worth of $160-ish.
The gold in us is the most valuable element, but even at today’s inflated prices, we only contain a penny’s worth.
Of course, a lot more can be had by selling off useful parts instead of chemicals…There are millions of dollars worth of bone marrow, heart, stem cells, etc, in each of us…but harvesting and selling them is mostly illegal…. and the timing is very difficult.
Why can’t mom give him the money to spend on a Father’s Day gift? I mean for Mothers Day dad gives the kids money and takes them shopping for a gift for mom.
I’m worth my weight in chocolate……Oh wait, I can eat my weight in chocolate. I guess it’s not the same thing..Apparently I was thinking of chocolate. Mmmmmmm
