What do I tend to do? I tend to do lots of things. Let’s just say I don’t tend to embezzle. ; )

    Stay up too late.
    Fall asleep in my chair.

And those two things, themselves, tend to be related.

BTW…. in the very late 20th century, while working in a mall,
I was recruited by a traveling HR team from a national chain of gift shops to apply for a supposedly better-paying management position.

(I won’t mention the actual name of the stores….
    but they sold engraved items…
and… um… it rhymed with “Flings Decembered.”)

I had to take a series of ridiculous tests during the application process….

On their “Personality” test, to help determine my “Management Potential,”
all the questions were multiple choice…
and many were incriminating, with no “out” provided.

I may have forgotten the exact wording but I will never forget the questions…. i.e.:
“How much money have you stolen from your previous employer?” “$10 to $50?” “$51 to $200?” etc… NO ZERO.

“How many times have you physically assaulted another employee?”

NEVER” was not among the answer choices!

Questions about tardiness, faking sick days, and pocketing merchandise were similarly impossible to answer without admission of guilt.

When I asked the young supervisor how to answer without saying I had done those things, she said “Oh, we know everyone has done those things. We wanted honest answers.”

    I left.

I tend to over schedule and sometimes double book myself. I need a personal assistant………yet she is me and she tends to act like an unpaid employee. Darn her!

Good for you for leaving. That’s ridiculous! I’ve never stolen or pocketed merchandise. Okay, I did fake a sick day or two.
I’m like bcathey1960 – I tend to read comics and do other fun stuff when I should be working.

Yes, the worst ting is to work for someone who you cannot respect. There was only one time that I left an employment without preparing my next position and I made it clear that I liked everything about the company (their software, equipment and fellow workers) but the boss was intolerable, lying to me as well as to clients.

I DID always tend (when working in any place with internet connections) to read all my favorite comics online
    at LUNCH TIME

(partly because it prevented others from interrupting my lunch).
