One of my all-time favorite quick little items in Mad Magazine was a “how to learn karate” primer. I’m paraphrasing here: “Remember to force all of your chi down into your big toe. That way, when you kick the chair before gambling a stamp to get Charles Atlas’s free book, it won’t HURT so much!”
