I think it looks pretty good (snort).

Garfield even curled his whiskers.

I like the stylized masthead as much as the strip itself!

I do believe Garfield took his inspiration from the Oz stylists. remeber the Cowardly Lion after his visit?

SF zoo, lion house at feeding time. You will never see lions the same after that experience. The tigers can play a little rough as well.

That was why Garfield used the hot iron curler.

Didn’t know Muncie had a zoo. Maybe Indianapolis? Quite a ways for a lion to wander but sometimes ‘Hoosiers’ aren’t too observant.

As for Daniel and the lion’s den one of our former pastors once said the worst thing that happened to him was he had to spend the night with a bunch of cats. Seems all the pastors I’ve ever known hated cats but they’re so funny when they say stuff like this.

Notice the lion’s expression in the fifth panel… “uh oh, what have I gotten myself into” LOL

At least Garfield isn’t a hunter, or he’d “hide” him in front of a roaring fire.
