Tigger: loved your slip on “brain” williams from your favorite, and only source, No Brain Corporation news. You DO realize that FLYING 1,000 miles in only two days is covered by an airliner in around two HOURS? I recently DROVE (a near 50 year old car) further than that in any two days of my cross country trip.BTW, I used to watch Brian and NBC, but in the last couple years, their writers, editors, and management have gone with so many errors, or deliberate frauds, it’s difficult to watch him go down the tubes with what they hand him to read as “presenter”, and no longer “journalist”.

If they’re offended with that, just think how bad it must have been in the ’60s when JFK said life was unfair.

Yes, but they are our only hope (as well as their own).

Graduation speakers are supposed to sum up the four years, to make a speech that is in key with the character of the class that is going out into the world. But the rightwingers think it’s one more time to lecture them with values they don’t share, in a setting where there is no Q&A in which they can even ask for clarification much less voice disagreements..Or, to put it more precisely, the rightwing wants one more opportunity to say, “Sit there and shut up while we tell you what to think.” And they really resent it when, after four years of education, the students speak up and say, “No. That’s not what we want to hear.”.Freedom of Speech being, of course, reserved for corporations, not the common folk.

Actually if they are liberals, not only will they do what they are told, but they will think and believe what is expected of them. No free thinking allowed.
