    I have respect for horse flies and deer flies. And Black Flies can be mean. But the ones that put terror in my soul are sand flies. Sometimes called stable flies…About the size of a house fly. The others come at you with either small numbers, or for a short duration of the year. Sand flies bring a lot of buddies…..A LOT of buddies….Sand flies will eat the meat of your bones. By the gazillions….
