We used to keep our pool at 78 degrees; and when we had a spell of chilly weather, the solar heater wouldn’t always keep up so we had to turn on the gas heater. In the mid 70s, it would cost $1/hour when it was operating; so, we used it sparingly. I am sure it would be more today!
