    If Sally were German, she could go into denial about getting older – by shouting “Nein! Nein!”

    The older you get, the more you realise that whatever age you are “isn’t really that old.” Until you look around and see how young the authority figures are…doctors, police officers, teachers, firefighters…they’re all a bunch of kids!! If you catch yourself describing one of them as “still wet behind the ears”—yeah, that’s a pretty good indication you’re old. Inside, anyway.

    I heard a funny kids’ song the other day on the radio (local public radio station has a daily kids hour after school time, check it out streaming at mtpr.org) that had the refrain “…and seven eight nine.” It told about the problems of the pun, if seven ate nine, what would happen….

    I saw an interesting sign recently. It read, “Don’t regret getting old. It’s a privilege denied to many.”

    I’m glad I’m only 5. No responsibilities. I get to pretty much do whatever I want all day. Even better, my parents don’t pay much attention to me and I eat whatever I want. I can watch TV all day if I want, stay up late and sleep in.

    Yep, it’s good to be retired at 5 decades old. ;-P

    I asked my fiance one day what age he could be if he could choose. I thought he was going to say something like 27ish. I couldn’t stop laughing when he said 10! (We’re in our 50’s and he’s getting excited about retirement soon) :~)

    12 and 13 are the ages you don’t want to be. Middle-school kids are evil: pure, unadulterated, distilled from the sands of Hades evil. To this day, if I see a pack of pre-teens on the street, I turn around and run.

    I’m 19 and sometimes I feel old.

    But seriously, 9 is nothing! It’s 90 you should worry about!

    @Snoopy_Fan

    I checked out your two links and those are the most beautiful horses I’ve ever seen. I’ve never ridden a horse before but I would love to. -I loved the piano music in that song! The lyrics were lovely too. If I had my own horse, I would name him Polo because I fed Merlin polo mints and he loved them. -Would it be OK if I sent you a songbook from 1940-1949? I don’t think you’ll be familiar with some of these songs but the video has some lovely pictures and video footage:

    I meant to tell you yesterday that I won’t be posting from Tuesday. Again, It’s just for a few days. I’m letting you know from now on because I know you miss me. I always miss you too. Naturally, I watch over the Peanuts comment sections to see if you are commenting and I like to see what my second family at Andy Capp are up to as well.-Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will look forward to talking to you again soon.-Hugs & Kisses!

    Even if I could go back to being nine again (or any other age — I’m 53), I wouldn’t want to. I had (still have) a lot of learning problems that even now don’t really make much sense!
