Mastersckrain: it was a whole $70,000, out of the millions he stole. Hmm, then his good bro’ comes up with NCLB and Neil’s “book company” sells all the materials for the program, nation wide! Then there’’s his daughter’s arrest in Florida, hmmm. No special favors in that clan.
The demographics are all trending toward the Democrats. New voters register as Democrats twice as often as they do as Republicans ( though more than half register as independents). But, in general, they are relatively liberal. There have been previous situations where one party was the subject of “The Party’s Over” books. But they were able to come back by appealing to demographics that the other party didn’t have in their pocket. The only people that aren’t solidly in agreement with Democratic positions are far left wingers and far right wingers. There aren’t enough far right wingers to win a national election. The Republicans can’t make their tent big enough to include the far left wingers without the people already in the tent setting it on fire. It’s pretty hard to imagine a situation where any of the available Republicans can beat any of 5-8 possible Democratic candidate, and most incumbents are reelected. That means we are most likely going to have a Democratic president through 2024, by which time a huge number of those angry old white guys that are now the core of the Republican base are going to be dead. The upshot is that there is a darn good chance that we will never again have a Republican president.
Yeah, but unless you can set up a party structure behind your choice, meaning that they have the money, the political connections, the volunteer network, internet connections like Vote Builder, etc behind that candidate, s/he ain’t got a prayer of winning. So, it makes more sense to vote for the one that scares you the least. Yeah, I know that’s disgusting, but lots of reality is.

Jeb Bush will be the Republican nominee for president. Remember, you heard it here first!

Clinton vs. Bush would be so sad… it would be graphic representation of a truth about our system that I would rather not see.

You call Hilary or Jeb a choice? Using the term VERYloosely, I presume! About as much of a choice asHitler or Stalin….

Jeb is not a factor. He already self-destructed.

He’ll stand a better chance if he changes his name to have a “c” between the “s” and “h”.
