We were poor when I was a kid and my mom always bought the cheapest of whatever she needed. Now that I can afford to spend more I sometimes feel a pang of guilt when I splurge a bit.
I definitely splurge on my eggs…I don’t really care if they are brown or white, but I want the free-range eggs because the yolks are usually a richer golden color, with more flavor as a result.
