Lions only catch their prey 15% of the time and have a wide verity of food souses. This plus the size of a single pride’s territory means that Zebra probably looses about ten relatives a year, not whole heard. (The ten relatives thing is speculation, but you know what I mean)
I really hate this side of Zebra. He is portraying Lions in a way that makes you think that they are the bad guy even though the only thing motivating them is the will to live. However, Zebra is not accepting this fact because of his own opinion on something else also trying to survive. It’s kinda like trying to stop death, its just pointless. Thank you for listening to this pointless rant about my opinion on a personality of a comic strip anthropormorhic zebra that I read way too into.

Actually zebras run faster than lions. Lions use ambush attacks where the prey is led to the waiting lions.
