And I was thinking Horace lost his train of thought.

Train APPRECIATION Society?Obviously someone has never been stuck at a railroad crossing for fifteen blankety-blank minutes when they were already running late.

The people who appreciate trains are the people riding them, not the people stuck watching them crawl past the line of traffic waiting to cross teh tracks…

there is a type of person, i first met one in college, that dotes on trains. my friend carried all the shipping schedules in his glove box, and would drive 40 miles out of his way to see a train go by. i now know he was not alone.

I am a train lover. Believe it or not there are a lot of us and we are normal! I am college degreed and have a professional job too.

And by the way. That car you are sitting in while you are waiting…………. it got to the automobile distribution point on a train!

The power for your house. Probably generated from coal hauled by a train! Most of what you use was at some point in the ‘supply chain’ carried on a train.

Growing up, we always lived near the tracks. I spent a lot of my youth watching trains. I still enjoy it, but seldom get the opportunity today.

I’ve known a few train enthusiasts, but frankly nothing interests me LESS. It’s a purely pragmatic vehicle that travels on rails. Where’s the fun in that?

Today’s strip is a milestone — in panel 3 we have the very first full-face view of Horace!
